JavaScript

JavaScript is a key scripting language for the web. It is also an excellent tool to learn because it gives you the ability to do many things that you can't do with HTML. JavaScript makes your pages dynamic and interactive, not plain static HTML pages.

Look at the example scripts in the left navigation for ideas of what you can do with JavaScript. Scripts and source code are available. Feel free to use the scripts as you see fit, but do try to be original with them. Besides, that is how you learn to work with any language.

Most JavaScript is client-side. That is, it is included with the HTML sent down from the server to your computer. To see the source code, simply View Source from your browser.
